There is no force in the air like the Wren Armada. When the first airship launched the gnomes of Cragpeak recognized what they achieved and every ounce of gold, wood, iron and linen they could acquire was rushed there. the creation of the fleet made thousands of merchants exceedingly wealthy and it armed the gnomes with an armada of three hundred armed airships. With them they have maintained control over the air for four hundred years. Only a handful of the more powerful shards dragons could make them turn from a fight and with the shards gone the armada has turned to mercantile endeavours. Wing Commanders are able to operate with freedom so long as the commerce flows though they and each captain are under one overriding order: No airship or workshop can ever fall to an intelligent undead. To that end several cities were bombarded heavily after the Night of Fire instead of being on rescue efforts. This has caused some anger between the Armada and other powers in the world.
