There is a great swath of raw power spreading across the horizon consuming our patrons and stealing away our brethren. I fear the six betrayers are at the heart of this. Hide if you can, and seal away your tools my friend. This may be our finale.

Formation of the Wyld

When the Eye of Morrow and the Six cast their ritual, they took half of the power of the world itself and tore it out to wield it. This power alone was greater than any god or shard and slowly consumed and captured them. It was raw and egoless. When the task was done and all gods and shards captured or consumed the power itself was let free like a rushing river. It was unable to return to the world but was compatible with it and took on the characteristics of nature.

Tapping into the Wyld

Priests of the old gods felt the loss of their patrons and some felt the pull of this new power. It was described and felt as animalistic, and everyone who felt the power experienced their own view of it as seen through the eyes of animal totems. Gone were any power to create or control the void but this new power was also far more vast than any god could have given. Bereft of gods or shards to lead them the common people rallied around the words of their new shamans or abandoned faith altogether to lean on technology and deeper learning.

The Furious Wyld

Where there is undead the Wyld will react. Those who power the Wyld with their prayers and actions fuel beasts of unimaginable strength to face it. Some scholars fear that with a growing Wyld ending the undead threat might then turn on civilization itself as the next enemy. Shamans laugh at the accusation and remind them that it was the Wyld itself that allowed people to rebuild.
