Sprouting from the side of Estme’s only active volcano, the great gnomish city of Cragspeak is a wonder of technology and magic. The gnomes harness the heat of the volcano to power massive boilers to power an extensive network of workshops, engineering halls, and the main hangers for the Wren Armada. Tens of thousands of gnomes live and work in the city though visitors are only allowed in specific enclaves within the walls. While this is communicated ostensibly for the visitors’ safety, there are rumors of great secrets and marvels in the depths.

When you are on the southeast approach to the ‘Crag on a clear evening you’ll understand son. The forge fires and lamps lit against the silhouette of the great volcano as it weeps lava along the spillways. You’ll not be belittled a tear or two with the crew for we’ve all shed one for the majesty of our people. Then you’ll know why we defend the ‘Crag so fast.
