Ya I saw it. We were coming back from patrol off from the Rosie run. Was a quiet one I remember. A single wet behind the ear wanna be brigand that surrendered when he caught sight of us. We were close to Rose Coast but it was gonna be a good morning at Melas’ by the time we got back to Kilkaen.
Our mage felt it before we saw it. Igvas, think his name was. Fell to his knees and started wailing like goblins in a fire pit. Then the sky opened up and spit out some destruction I’ve never seen. I knew the Caer was gone. Then… It came…
I won’t lie, I was less than half a man that moment it flew over my head. Its wings just roiling black ichor and its whole body a mass of writhing gray flesh. We watched it dive south to the city we had just left.
North to face the fire? South to face the beast? May brother wolf guide us.
