While worship of the Wyld replaced that of the gods it devoured in most of the world, not everyone abandoned their faiths. Instead these smaller groups, more effectively named cults, found worship through memory and relics of their fallen gods and their shards.

One such group is that of the blind prince. It is said that Prince Vosho of the island of Kareb was in the presence of the patron god of his people and when it was consumed by the Wyld the flash of power blinded him and left him in a coma for a decade. When he awoke he claimed to be the protector of all the dead god’s secrets and prophesies. He abandoned his crown and started to walk and quickly gathered a rabid gathering of followers.

Though it has been several hundred years and any mortal would have long passed the cult claims that the prince is alive and wandering still, though others have taken the role of leading the faithful claiming to have the prince’s extensive writings.

There was a flash of impossibly verdant green that burned to the back of my skull. I didn’t feel any impact, no. It was just as if the whole of the world vaporized and I was afloat in that green. Then as quickly as it came it fled and I was alone in the black. The one eyed one came for me then almost with an air of sadness left, leaving me to awake again.
