The Third Epoch, that of Gold, saw the people emerge from the ash of the Second Epoch to rebuild. Now bereft of gods the priests turned to the primal power of the Wyld. The people found hope in shamanistic totems, the wolf, the bear, and more. Mages formed schools to teach magic codified with laws and the organisations to enforce them. Gnomes and Dwarves founded the technology of the steam forge and gunpowder. This became the golden age of art and technology and while the races still made war on each other, without the power of the gods or Shards to wreak havoc, the world healed.
